Dr Luiza is a warm, experienced general dentist with a strong focus on preventative care, family dentistry, and long-term patient relationships. She completed her dental degree in Brazil, then gained experience practicing in South Africa before moving to Australia, where she has been caring for patients since 2010. She has worked in both private and public dental practices across the Gold Coast and Melbourne, gaining a broad range of experience caring for diverse patient needs.
She loves treating children and endeavours to create a positive dental experience from an early age. She also enjoys providing periodontal care, orthodontic treatment, cosmetic dentistry and cosmetic injectables, allowing her to offer a wide range of care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
She is passionate about continuous learning and is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry through regular professional development and training. Dr. Luiza is dedicated to delivering gentle, high-quality care in a calm and supportive environment—always putting her patients’ comfort and well-being first.
Beyond work, she loves all that the Gold Coast has to offer and cherishes spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys playing tennis, camping, travelling, and discovering new restaurants!

After spending several years working in a bustling dental clinic in Scotland, John has recently relocated to Australia. During his tenure in Scotland, he honed his skills and developed a keen interest in Invisalign, contributing significantly to restoring both smiles and confidence for patients.
John finds the most gratifying aspect of his job to be the preservation of teeth that might otherwise be lost. His proficiency in cosmetic dentistry, encompassing Invisalign, veneers, and tooth whitening, enables him to deliver top-notch care to every individual who steps into the clinic. Collaborating closely with the dental team, John ensures that patients have a serene and pleasant dental experience.
Outside of his professional life, John stays active by working out at the gym and by taking a dip in the ocean. An enthusiastic runner, he frequently traverses the Gold Coast waterfront and is currently gearing up for his inaugural half marathon.

Meet Nic, our amazing Clinical Coordinator and Dental Assistant at Waterways Dental. Nic brings a wealth of experience in general dentistry, specialist surgical procedures, and paediatrics.
Outside of work, Nic is an absolute go-getter, balancing life with her two gorgeous daughters and doggo Malibu.

Practice Manager
Pep is the friendly face at reception who loves to greet our patients and help with all queries. If she is not at the front desk then she will be found around our busy practice doing the behind-the-scenes administative tasks. Outside of work, Pep spends her time taking beach walks with her husband and French bulldog Rocky. She loves to experience new places to eat and calls it her 'research' !
