Children's Dental
Family dental services just for kids
At Waterways Dental, we believe going to the dentist should be a fun and positive experience for both children and their parents or guardians.
Too often we encounter adults who are very anxious about visiting the dentist, which often stems back to a traumatic experience they had as a child. At Waterways Dental, we're aiming to change that.
We strive to create a welcoming space for kids and their caregivers. Our family dental practice has TVs on the wall, music playing, and every child leaves with a goody bag and toy.
Penny, our Oral Health Therapist, is an expert in making children feel comfortable and relaxed, as are our wonderful dental assistants.
Keep your kids' teeth in great shape with our family-friendly, gentle specialist care for happy and healthy little smiles!
Why do kids need to see a dentist regularly?
Children's teeth develop rapidly, and picking up any small issues when they're young can make a big difference to outcomes when they're older. Besides, when children are used to visiting the dentist from a young age, they may value their oral health more, be less likely to experience dental anxiety, and be more likely to keep up with their scheduled visits when they grow up.
Why choose Waterways Dental for children's dental care?
We have found that some dentists are uncomfortable in seeing young children and will often refer them to a Paediatric Dentist, which can be a costly experience for Mums and Dads. At Waterways Dental, our team is experienced in treating children and adolescents for general dentistry services. We also offer the latest in specialist children's dental treatment, including Myobrace. Occasionally with complex cases, we will still have to refer out to a Paediatric Dentist, however for generations of Gold Coast families we've been a trusted first port of call for most children's dental needs.
We welcome patients 16 years or younger to our family practice and look forward to assisting them in achieving lifelong oral health – contact our friendly team to schedule an appointment.
